TIMESHARING FRAUDS

Before I explain how it works, let me summarize the situation. I will write it in bold so there is no confusion: ANY COMPANY THAT MAKES UNSOLICITED PHONE CALLS TO TIMESHARE OWNERS IS LOOKING TO DEFRAUD THEM....

THAT IS "ANY" COMPANY, WHATEVER THE PITCH, HOWEVER GENUINE OR CREDIBLE THEIR STORY MAY SEEM. THESE COMPANIES MAINLY OPERATE FROM SPAIN, BUT ALSO FROM THE USA, CARIBBEAN, AND CANADA. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. THEY ARE ALL CON ARTISTS. OK "Confused Owner" here are the facts from someone who knows. For ANYONE who has been contacted "out of the blue" by a company they do not know, about their Timeshare, this is how it works. If any of it sounds familiar, you know whats happened to you: Employees of Timeshare companies STEAL owners information from their employers, and sell it to the highest bidder/fraudster. These fraudsters mainly operate out of Spain. They are very creative, they are very imaginative, they are very determined. All they want is your money, and they will get it no matter what they have to say or do. Invariably it all starts with a phone call and a great offer for your timeshare weeks. The pitch is normally that there is some mysterious SWISS/RUSSIAN/AMERICAN/FRENCH, etc. buyer looking to buy batches of Timeshare weeks. Sometimes its a hotel group, sometimes a tour operator, sometimes a huge corporation. As I say they are very imaginative, and the price is always very good- often thousands of pound more than you would expect. Once you have paid them their upfront fee for "commission", "transfers" , "administration", "taxes", "lawyers" , they string you along for a few months, then try and hit you again for a few hundred more euros. Some even produce fake contracts to prove a purchase that is in the process "going through" !!! The reason your weeks don"t get sold? Come on, wise up! Not only is there no buyer, there aren"t even any salespeople. For more information, ACAMA Spanish Consumer Association. Phone: +34952215859 email: correo@afectadosmultipropiedad.com
